Dan
Gentry, president of SportaFence Marketing Enterprises
LLC has been working in the Recreation, Park and
Physical Education profession for 27 years. He has
worked on all levels of the profession. His experiences
include being a college lecturer and coach, a sports
coordinator, community center supervisor, recreation
manager, recreation superintendent and director of
parks & recreation for two public agencies.
Dan’s accomplishments are many and wide ranging including
being a District President of the California Park & Recreation
Society, winning an outstanding Supervisor’s Award from the
State California Park & Recreation Society and serving
as a Rotary President and Board Member. His highest accomplishments
were receiving top honors, “Award of Excellence” for facility
design, in 2008 and 2009 from the California Park & Recreation
Society for the Woodland Community & Senior Center and
Woodland Sports Park.
Dan earned his bachelor degree from Pacific Union College
and his master of science degree from California State University,
Sacramento. Dan was an honor student and is a lifetime member
of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Richard
Kirkwood, CEO of SportaFence Marketing Enterprises,
LLC has a unique combination of business, public administration
and military service. Rick has served local government
during the past 30 years as a City Manager and Executive
Director in California, Utah and Washington. Under
his direction he has led the construction of three
public safety police facilities, two fire stations,
numerous parks, two city halls, millions of dollars
in roads, water, sewer and infrastructure, creating
jobs and improving the communities he has served.
He received recognition as Public Administrator of
the Year, Outstanding Municipal Appointed Official,
Administration, Management and Systems Officer of the
Year, President of the regional City Manager association's
and served in numerous community leadership positions.
In addition to his public service, Rick began his career
in Banking and Finance. He enlisted in the Air Force active
duty in 1968 then continued to serve as a reserve Officer
for 29 years. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business
Management and a Masters Degree in Public Administration
Joan
Drayton, Senior Marketing Executive and Chief Financial
Officer (CFO) has primarily focused her career
in finance, business management and administration,
and public accounting. Over the last 28 years,
Ms. Drayton has worked as a Certified Public Accountant
(CPA) for an international public accounting firm,
as a Project Manager with a Redevelopment Agency,
and as a Chief Financial Officer for various public
and private organizations. As a CFO, Ms. Drayton’s
principal responsibilities included the oversight
and management of various departments including
Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Budgeting, Insurance,
Procurement, and Information Systems.
As an executive team member, Ms. Drayton has been
extensively involved in the marketing, development
and implementation of various organizational, strategic
and financial plans. While at the City of Woodland,
Joan was instrumental in the development of various
Capital Project Master Plans, and the implementation
and execution of various project bond financings.
Ms. Drayton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Management, a Masters Degree in Business Administration,
and is a Certified Public Accountant.
